L-3 NSS Recognized for Veteran Hiring Program Excellence

The Coalition for Government Procurement Awards L-3 2012 “Excellence in Partnership” Award

“L-3 National Security Solutions is committed to hiring our nation’s veterans, providing employment options for the men and women who have served our country. The team spirit, dedication, character and commitment of our military personnel make them excellent performers on the L-3 team,” said Les Rose, president of L-3 NSS.

Across its business, L-3 employs more than 15,000 U.S. military veterans, helping them use their unique training and skills to meet customer needs. In addition to veteran engagement through a Military Transition Recruiting team, L-3 employees participate in numerous veteran and military support organizations, and partner with several Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses through Government Services Association (GSA) Mentor-Protégé agreements.

In 2012, L-3 took part in more than 60 military career fairs, veteran hiring events and military transition program classes across the country, which resulted in numerous employment hires from those who were returning from military duty or in the U.S. National Guard and Reserve. Additionally, L-3 provided company tours that included representatives from the DoD operational committee known as Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), local chamber of commerce representatives and unemployed veterans.

L-3 employees personally and financially supported numerous fund-raising events nationwide that help veterans through organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, Wreaths Across America, Project Healing Waters and others.

L-3’s National Security Solutions (NSS) group provides full-spectrum cyber operations, enterprise and mission information technology, intelligence operations support and operational infrastructure support through integrated engineering, adaptive processes and the expertise required to solve critical security challenges.

Headquartered in New York City, L-3 employs approximately 51,000 people worldwide and is a prime contractor in C3ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) systems, aircraft modernization and maintenance, and national security solutions.
